In the beautiful district town and the land of orchid (Kalimpong) , you will be host by Mrs Manju Lal, wife of Late Capt. A.P. Lal who served in the Army and St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling as Head of the Political Science Department till retirement. Mrs Lal takes immense delight in interacting and helping the guests to provide a home away from home. She likes travelling, gardening, reading and entertaining guests. Mrs Lal also runs a British NGO connected with pre-school education. She and her husband have their own New Creation Play School on the campus.
Mrs Lal’s Homestay is situated above the junction of Upper Cart and Kanpur Road and spread over an acre, this cottage is popularly known as “Quiet” A short walk from the main town and away from the hustle-bustle of a crowded market, Quiet is not totally secluded. All commodities of daily life are easily available at a hand’s throw an SBI Atm just below, a full-fledged general store at 10 minutes walk and taxi service down the road. The host also provides a beautiful small ground-oriented with a beautiful garden and some playing equipment for the children to play. You can enjoy a beautiful font view from the porch. The garden and majestic mountain view with a quiet environment in the heart of the bustling city of Kalimpong makes it is a worthy stay to visit in the hill station.
