Mr Kunsang Moktan is a very young, polite and very passionate entrepreneur, welcome you to his newly built homestay situated at Bara(Big) Mangmaya or as locally known Bara(Big) mangwa in Darjeeling District. Mr Moktan with innovative ideas begins a new hospitality business in the Himalayan hamlet with the intention to entertain the guest in a new way. The host lives with his family at the homestay.
The Bara(Big) Mangwa or Bara Mangmaya a small hamlet of Darjeeling district. Which falls to the western side of the Kalimpong hills, and it is located between Teesta and Chhota(Small) Mangwa Or Chhota(Small) Mangmaya. It is standing at an elevation of 4500 ft /1371 meters. Mr Moktan’s has 4 rooms to offer and from the balcony, it offers a majestic wide-angle view of the valley where you can also observe the mountain line slowly disappearing at the backdrop. On a clear night, you can observe the scenic(rather romantic) stary beauty from the balcony or even from the room(as it has big and wide windows). Being an offbeat destination the pollution(air/noise) level is comparatively low and Mr Moktan’s homestay has an added advantage (as it is built by the road). The place is so enchanting that you won’t even regret it if you spend the entire day without outing or sightseeing, However, you can visit near places for sightseeing or if you love adventure, you have the option of paragliding in Kalimpong /River rafting in river Teesta. Over and above the host can arrange a vehicle for the sightseeing(chargeable).
