Lamagaon-Ruthmith Lepcha
Lamagaon is an offbeat destination and can be reached from Darjeeling Siliguri and Bijanbari. Unfortunately, due to the present road condition, small vehicles do not travel here. Only big Vehicles agree to take you there. You can hire a private vehicle from Darjeeling which may cost (approx) 4000 rupees, from Siliguri may charge (approx) 5000 rupees. From Siliguri Bijanbari Taxi Stand near Mahananda Bridge, you can take a daily taxi to Lamagaon at approx 400 rupees per head.(However, there are few vehicles which route to Lamagaon). Another option is you can travel up to Bijanbari / Kainjalay Bazaar (easily accessible from Siliguri & Darjeeling via shared cab) and then arrange a private vehicle from there.
