Sandakphu Phalut Trek 6 Days professional trek.
Activity overview

Sandakphu trek is one of the few treks on the earth which offers a memorising view of four out of five tallest mountains of the world. Sandakphu (3636 m/11,930 ft), located at the edge of the Singalila National Park, is a mountain peak in the Singalila Ridge on the border between India and Nepal. It is the highest point of the ridge and the state of West Bengal, India. Four of the five highest peaks in the world, Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu can be seen from its summit. It also affords a pristine view of the entire Kanchenjunga Range. The Kanchenjungha Family peak is also called “the Sleeping Buddha” as the mountain outline appears as the sleeping posture of Lord Buddha.

The trek to Sandakphu starts with an early morning drive from Darjeeling with a scenic roadway along the treeline of pine trees and other dense forests to the trek start point at Maney Bhanjyang. Arriving at Maney Bhanjyang, will take a rest and have breakfast. After breakfast gathers your trekking gear and compose yourself in a positive mindset and embark upon the scenic adventure of the trekking route of the famed Sandakphu trekking in the Darjeeling region. And then we continue trekking/hiking till Chitrey where we may see a few cars plying. But after Chitrey onwards cars would not be visible as the real trekking route of Sandakphu Phalut trek starts from Chitrey. On the trek, we will take a brief rest and have lunch at Meghma. And after that, we will start trekking again and then reach the next destination called Tumling which is a small Village/hamlet situated at an elevation of 2,970 metres. The next day after breakfast we start the trek and here, we have two options, either stay at Kamalpokhari or we can trek straight to Sandakphu depending upon the physical ability and stamina of the hiker/trekker. The elevation of the summit of the Darjeeling Sandakphu trek is 3,636 metres/11,930 feet. The next day Phalut after overnight stay we will descend to Gorkhey and then the next day we go to Sepi and then next we trek to Rimbik and take a taxi back to Darjeeling.
